Calling all dApp developers: The Meter Development Grant Program is here!
Meter Grants are a way for the platform to gain adoption by establishing a solid foundation of apps that use the protocol. With more than $10 million allocated for several rounds of grants, we are looking forward to helping developers put the “pedal to the metal” when it comes to having a great dApp idea that only needs some financial support to really get going.
Keep in mind is that, even though Meter will be helping support the development of your dApp, it will still be your app that you will be able to reap the benefits and profits from; we just want to help you get off the ground. What’s more, we are also open to having developers port existing Ethereum apps over to Meter, too.
Another benefit of having your project accepted into the Meter Development Grant Program is that Meter will help market your dApp after completing all 6 milestones. This includes but is not limited to:
We currently have the equivalent of $100,000 set aside for round 1 of app development. We do not have a set amount we want to give any particular app, and will determine exact amounts on an app-by-app basis.
There are two different payment structures available:
Please fill out this form to get started with your proposal. Our team will be reviewing submissions on an on-going basis until we feel we have a good group of apps in development.
After the team has decided to move forward with your proposal and all the details are hashed out, we have laid out these milestones for the first round of the grant:
Both payment structures – one-time payments and milestone-based payments – will be subject to the approval of a 3-member panel from the Meter community. For the one-time payment, they will review the work at the end to ensure the agreed upon work has been completed. For the weekly payments, the panel will review the progress towards that week’s milestone and upon approval from the panel, Meter will provide the agreed upon payment for that week.
