The Meter Monthly – April 2021

May 4, 2021

Hello Meterians!

We’re excited to let you in on some of the things we’ve been up to. We’ll also let you know about other amazing projects we’re working on as they unfold.

Announcing the ETH Bridge Beta

This past month, we launched the ETH bridge to take blockchain interoperability to a new level. After extensive testing by our developers, this latest update is now live on the Meter ecosystem.

The bridge is currently in beta, and we invite you to have the first go at it and tell us what you think in the community forum.

We’re Deploying 5 Reputable Relayers to Run the ETH Bridge

We’re leaving no stones unturned in making sure your transactions are secure both within our network and across other blockchains. To that end, from the second week of the ETH bridge (beta) launch, we will have five highly reputable relayers running the bridge.

With three of them as validators for Avalanche ETH bridge and two as validators for BSC, you can be sure that your transactions are secure.

What’s more, you’ll get up to a whopping 85% rebates in MTRG on Meter mainnet.

The MeterUp Series is Live on YouTube

Last month, The MeterUp Series premiered on YouTube to keep the community informed about the rapid developments in and around the Meter ecosystem. The series will contain Q&As, and exciting announcements for new partnerships, functionalities, and much more.

The first episode featured Xiaohan Zhu, our Chief of Everything Officer, where he dives into some of Meter’s unique value propositions. Be sure to subscribe and click the notification bell, so you don’t miss a thing. You can also follow us on Twitter or check out our Telegram group.

We’ve had some AMA sessions too. Here are links to the transcripts for each AMA Recap:

More Assets to be Added to the Meter Mainnet

Currently, Meter supports these assets: MTRG, eMTRG, ETH, WBTC, and USDT.

Watch out for more assets to be added to the Meter Swap. As always, we’ll give you an update when this happens.

In the meantime, MTRG will be called MTRG on BSC and have the same contract address as eMTRG on ETH.
