Hello Meterians! July was an exciting month for Meter that came with an array of bullish announcements. Strap in, put your seatbelts on, and get ready for liftoff!
The Graph integration is now complete! The program supported by Meter’s Developer Grant, launched in April, is aimed at making development on Meter Mainnet more robust. Recipients of the Grant Program have finished integration of The Graph, a decentralized protocol used for indexing and querying data from blockchains. This makes it easier for developers to create powerful DApps on Meter Tesla Mainnet. These additional powerful tools are now at the disposal of Mainnet developers aiding in the creation of a more indepth DApp ecosystem. We are ecstatic to see how Meter continues to grow.
The Meter Development team is hard at work upgrading our Mainnet. We are developing an upcoming upgrade to the mainnet with potential fixes to the memory leak, high load at auction close and Istanbul EVM upgrade. The team continues to improve and add value to Meter Mainnet and we will share updates to the community as the upgrades progress. We are looking to release a major network upgrade in August.
Yes, you read that correctly! VoltSwap is the new name chosen by the community for our decentralized swap. You can find more information below in this article regarding the renaming of MeterSwap.
The team has been busy plugging away and creating new staking contracts on VoltSwap. The release of VoltSwap will mark the second iteration of Meter Mainnet’s decentralized swap. We are excited to offer the incentivization layer for our community with enticing liquidity mining opportunities to keep your MTRG on Mainnet and invest in the community. We are creating a more robust DeFi experience on Meter Mainnet with many plans for continued growth and added DApps to improve user experience. Soon you will be able to swap with even more tokens, earn APY, and compound yields, all on the most decentralized Layer 2 scaling platform.
MeterSwap, an integral and important part of the Meter ecosystem, is getting a major facelift with the highly anticipated “version 2” release. MeterSwap is a community-driven project, therefore we at Meter.io believe that the community should be involved with the creation of it from the ground floor up. We thank everyone who participated in the renaming event which is now closed. From now on, the decentralized swap on Meter Telsa Mainnet will be known as VoltSwap!
Among the other awesome rewards we offered for this contest were exclusive NFTs and an awesome apple headset. We had a number of incredible submissions and are excited at how much the community was involved.
Rewards will be announced and distributed on a future date. Please stay tuned. For more details check out our blog post about the contest.

Earlier this month, we were super excited to announce a partnership with the awesome Cellframe project. Cellframe aims to create an infrastructure for decentralized low-level services through its multichain nature. It is quantum-safe — it uses post-quantum encryption by default. Cellframe is built from scratch with plain C, which results in more efficient utilization of CPU and memory.
This partnership will allow us to work together as we both develop our innovative and industry disruptive technologies. We believe Cellframe’s layer-1 technology will be a powerful force in shaping the crypto space and are looking forward to collaborating. Both Meter and Cellframe champion the importance of a multi-chain strategy and scalability in the Decentralized Finance sector.
In an awesome show of force, humor, and creativity, the DefiCliq and Meter communities came together to see who could make the most memetastic memes demonstrating the capabilities of both projects. With a number of incredible submissions, we were able to see the best of what both communities have to offer in meme land and awarded the following rewards for the best submissions:

The Meter Up Series is a great way to stay up-to-date with the project. We have a mix of information and announcement videos, and Office Hours and AMA (ask me anything) videos. Our goal is to keep the Meter community informed about the rapid developments with Meter. Make sure to stay tuned!
Meter.io envisions a borderless financial and information ecosystem empowering people to reimagine the world. We take Ethereum to the next level by enabling scalable and interoperable dapps with the safety and security of full decentralization.
